In his latest Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reinforces recent reports regarding the pricing of the iPhone 15. Gurman indicates that consumers can anticipate 'minor' price increases for the iPhone 15 lineup internationally and in the US. This is especially true for the iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max models, which will boast a new titanium chassis design and an upgraded camera system.
As for the Apple Watch, Gurman suggests that the Series 9 and Ultra models will receive chip spec upgrades, but there won't be an SE version this year, possibly following a two-year cycle. Interestingly, he reveals that Apple had tested a dark gray titanium color option for the Apple Watch Ultra last year, though it was not used in the 2022 Ultra launch. Nevertheless, Gurman hints that the darker color might make a comeback in the 2023 Apple Watch Ultra hardware refresh.

According to last week's Bloomberg report, Apple is projecting to ship approximately 85 million units of the iPhone 15 this year, a figure similar to the iPhone 14 shipments during the same period last year. However, the company foresees a boost in overall revenue as a result of price increases for the individual units.

In today's newsletter, Gurman mentioned some interesting points about the upcoming iPhone. It's quite likely that we'll see slight price increases for all four models outside of the US. And even within the US, some of the pro models might experience a price hike, especially considering the switch to titanium and the higher costs associated with the advanced camera system on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. To put it into context, Apple typically charges $100 more for titanium watches compared to their stainless-steel counterparts.
